River Valley Health and Wellness opened in November 2021, owned and operated by mother-daughter duo, Doris Ford and Meghan Eglin.

“Our mission is to create a welcoming atmosphere where customers are met with knowledge and great customer service with the ability to ask and learn more about natural health products.”

Whether new to the natural health world or a seasoned pro, there is something for everyone. You’ll find natural supplements, vitamins, minerals, protein powders, grocery and bulk items and more. Tucked in the back is a home and body care refillery with sustainable eco-friendly products.

Doris has worked in the health and wellness industry for 17 years, with 30 years spent studying and incorporating holistic medicine into her life with courses like Advanced Nutrition, Chartered Herbalist, Environmental Science and General, Organic and Biochemistry.

Doris mainly assists customers, and Meghan more often runs the back end, whether bookkeeping, researching new products or maintaining their social media.

Right-hand lady Dora joined the team in the spring and is a favourite among Swiss and German clientele. She brings a warm touch of compassion and knowledge, is well-versed in the retail sector.

The bright, open space features tall ceilings and large round windows with custom-built shelving, giving the space its rustic touch. Ample parking is available for horse or travel trailers or a quick stop for truckers.

Find them at 365 North Mackenzie Avenue (the building with the big round windows) or call 250-398-2062.

Hours: Tuesday - Friday, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
