For 20 years Cindy Phillips and Gordon Baron have been recording Cariboo Chilcotin Coast history through the lens of their cameras and restoration projects.

Now those collection of images can be found in three 2015 calendars for the holiday season depicting the hidden beauty in B.C.’s own backyard.

The first collection is called Cannery Memories, which is a collection of images and writing history dating 120 years in the commercial salmon fishing industry. Living in seven cannery complexes they realized firsthand how important these massive wooden superstructures are to the coastal communities of British Columbia.

Cariboo Chilcotin Country, the second collection, shows the beauty of cattle ranching in the Cariboo Chilcotin including a tribute to legendary 87-year-old working rancher Nives Bliss.

The third collection is called Coastal Wildlife and captures wildlife up close and personal during a decade living with them one on one.

These calendars are available at Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Centre, Beaver Valley Feeds and Bella Coola Valley Seafood’s in Bella Coola. Phillips and Baron also produce limited edition personalized greeting cards for Christmas, weddings and other special occasions.
