Melanie Funk and Jack Thorn opened Blue Magic Hydrotherapy in September.
Through the new business, located at the 150 Mile Centre, customers can access hydrotherapy massage beds and massage thanks to an efficient dry massage system Funk suggests has many benefits.
Funk says Blue Magic is one of a kind.
“There’s nothing like it in our area,” Funk says, adding the system is very convenient for customers.
Prior to opening the business, Thorn developed a business plan for a massage bed, so when a rental space opened up at 150 Mile House, the two business partners seized the chance.
“We worked hard to renovate and raise money to purchase two hydrotherapy massage beds,” Funk says.
Three months into the business, the owners say they are driven by a business philosophy to provide the most efficient massage for the most efficient price.
Funk has operated Cariboo First Aid Training in Williams Lake for many years and brings that experience to this new venture.
