Cariboo Archers dominant throughout B.C. Interior

Cariboo Archers spread throughout the Interior during the weekend.

Cariboo Archers spread throughout the Interior during the weekend to take their talents to two different locations.

Ty Thurow and his dad, Bob Thurow, travelled to Quesnel to shoot some 720 Target Archery so Ty can qualify for the BC Performance Team.

Ty’s 648/720 score should put him in good stead for qualifying, but final scores need to be tabulated before he’s a shoe-in.

Fred Streleoff, Ernie Schmid, Dan Mobbs, Lee Jackman and Al Campsall were in Logan Lake, meanwhile, for B.C.’s biggest 3D shoot.

Of the 260 archers, all five Cariboo Archers finished well.

“Ernie and Dan tied for third in the recurve division, while Fred won it,” Campsall said.

“Lee Jackman easily won the compound fixed pins division.”

Campsall also brought home the masters compound division crown.

Cariboo Archers are now making their final preparations for the BC Championships this coming weekend in Prince George.
