Lloyd Neil Davidson

February 15, 1934 -

April 30, 2009

Neil passed away peacefully on April 30, 2009 in Kamloops, BC. He is survived by his 5 children Jeanne (Jim), Barb (Dave), James (Karlene), Patti (Duane) and Bill (Stacey). He also leaves behind his wife Margaret Daisy Davidson (nee Muise) and her 2 daughters. He was the proud grandfather of 13 and had 1 great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years Dorothy Jill Davidson.

Dad loved many things but cooking was his biggest passion. He loved spending the day in the kitchen preparing a feast for his family or friends. You never walked away from the table hungry when dad was cooking. He loved the water and boats. His dream was to live on or by water when he retired and he did so when we came to Williams Lake in 1981 and he built our home on Tyee Lake. There was only one thing Dad could not do from as early as I can remember, and that was to do nothing. He was always on the go, and always working. He came out of retirement more times than most can remember and loved working with people. He had the gift of gab and he genuinely liked everyone he met.

Dad was an avid golfer and over the past couple of years I think he missed that a lot. He loved fishing and boating and anything that involved water. He was also the artist of the family. He had a natural talent for painting and the art he left behind will be cherished by those of us who are lucky enough to have it.

He was a good dad and a loving husband to Marg and Mom and always put others before himself. We are going to miss you dearly Dad. We all loved you so much and you will forever be in our hearts and thoughts.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Longhouse.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
