Johann “Joe” Paulson

November 26, 1931 - July 24, 2010

Joe was many things to many people. A loving and devoted to Gladys, a dedicated provider for his children, and a constant source of joy and love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren, (but he never spoilt them!). Joe was an “Uncle” to countless children throughout his many years. Joe’s family was the most important part of his life, whether it be helping out a brother or connecting with a distant

cousin. Joe’s kindness, generosity and faithfulness touched everyone that came into his life. Joe always said, “A stranger is only a friend you hadn’t met yet”.

Joe grew up in Saskatchewan and moved to Surrey in his early teens. There he spent the next several years as a logger, butcher, realtor, and ended his working career with his dream job, owning his own pub! He retired to the Cariboo in his late 40’s where he began his new career, with his wife, as a Snowbird. Joe spent the next 20 years making friends and memories all across Canada and the United States. During the last years, he settled into life at Big Lake. Always an open invitation to play a game of cards, tap a keg and share a story.

Gladys would like to thank all their family and friends for their thoughts and well wishes and to remind you to live life a little like Joe did, every day!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigarette in one hand, a beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO what a ride!”

There will be no service by request of the family. In lieu of fl owers, donations can be sent to Molson Canadian...their sales have gone down recently.
