It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Jim McKenzie at the age of 81 at Royal Inland Hospital on November 11, 2016.


Jim was born in Yakima, Washington on July 18, 1935. The family moved to 150 Mile House where he attended the little red (elementary) school at 150 Mile House and went on to graduate from the Williams Lake High School in 1954.


Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years Catherine McKenzie, son John (Hali) McKenzie; daughters: Donna, Heather, Karen (Ken) Alexandre, and Zandra (Corey) Ross; grandchildren: Trista Johnson (Sheldon Grinder), Lorne Wedhorn (Samantha Jacobson), Sarah (Brad) Arnold, James McKenzie, Dylen Alexandre, Ava and Alexander Ross; and great grandchildren: Maea Johnson and Haze Grinder.


Predeceased by his parents: Barbara and Ken McKenzie; and sister, Betty Kowalski (Walter).

A service will be held on Friday November 18, 2016 at 2 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Williams Lake. A small luncheon to follow.
