Bobby Rehal

Gurpreet Singh Rehal, known to his family and friends as Bobby, passed away March 14, 2003.

Bobby was born at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, April 18, 1983.

He attended Nesika elementary and Anne Stevenson secondary and graduated from Columneetza in June of 2001.

Through high school Bobby was an honour roll student who enjoyed playing floor hockey and basketball.

He was the assistant coach of his high school basketball team.

He also enjoyed looking after his siblings and the younger members of his family and working on his Honda Accord to keep it in top shape.

In the fall of 2001 Bobby moved to Abbotsford to study criminology at the University College of the Fraser Valley with the goal of becoming a police officer.

As part of his training he volunteered as an auxiliary police officer in Abbotsford.

He also enjoyed composing music.

Funeral services will be held this Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 1 p.m. at the Woodlands Funeral Home on Clearbrook Road in Abbotsford. Cremation will follow in Aldergrove.

A prayer service will be held at the Khalsa Diwan Society Abbotsford at 33094 South Fraser Way, in Abbotsford.

Bobby will be sadly missed by his many family and friends both in Williams Lake and in the Lower Mainland.

Bobby leaves to mourn his father Malkiat S. Basra, mother Parmjit K. Basra; sisters Neelam and Denise, brothers Luvdeep and Sunny.

Bobby also leaves his grandparents Swaran S. and Gurcharan K. Rehal; and Jarnail S. and Mohinder K. Khakh; and many nieces nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts to mourn his passing.
