Ernest (Ernie) Arnold Cyr
July 18, 1940 - August 24, 2010
Ernie Cyr passed away suddenly on August 24, 2010, close to his home in Brooks, Alberta. Ernie was born in Millicent, Alberta on July 18, 1940 and was the eldest of six siblings. Ernie lived in the Cariboo area with his family (Gwen) and sons: Justin, Cody and Perry, for 18+ years during the 60’s and 70’s, then moving back to his childhood home in Brooks, AB. Ernie had many friends in the Cariboo and will be well remembered through his ranching days at Chilko Ranch and Cotton Ranch, Cariboo Meat Products and in the logging industry.
Ernie was predeceased by his sister Annette and parents Arnold and Dorothy Cyr. Ernie leaves behind, his immediate family (Gwen), son Justin (Christine), his children Cruize and Miriah, son Cody and his children Dalton and Austin, son Perry (Lisah), and his second family Ilene, daughter Bonnie (Rob) and their children Kyle and Courtney. Ernie also leaves behind three brothers, one sister, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Duchess Community Hall, near Brooks, as per Ernie’s wishes at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 12, 2010.
