It is with great sadness that Dorothy’s family announces her passing after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She leaves behind Michael, her husband of 43 years, stepson Sean and his wife Nadine, grandsons Hugh and Ryan, sisters Janet and Tina of England.

Dorothy emigrated to Canada in 1970 and embraced her new home with unbridled enthusiasm. She was a committed environmentalist and animal rights activist. Member of SPCA, Quesnel River Watershed Alliance, Cariboo Conservation Society and World Wildlife Fund.

Dorothy is walking through the meadows of alpine flowers above Anderson Lake with Minou, Suki, Barney, Charley and Sofi.

“I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.”

There will be no service at Dorothy’s request. Donations to World Wildlife Fund in her memory.
