August 4, 1942 ~ August 25, 2017

It is with deep sadness that we are announcing the passing of Andrew McCallum on August 25, 2017 with his wife by his side.

Andrew was born in Hazeldel, Saskatchewan and moved to the Cariboo when he was a young man. He worked at BC Hydro, BC Tel and Johnston and Morben. Andrew was one of the original founders of the Wildwood Fire Department. Andrews passion was car racing, which eventually lead him to be the head mechanic on #77 - Shuster Johnston’s Race Car.

Most people would know and recognize Andrew as he owned and operated Andy’s Backhoe Service for 28 years until illness made him semi retire.

Andrew is predeceased by his parents George and Millicent and four sisters. Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his wife Isebella of 43 years, three sisters, two sons Kenneth G. (Penny) and David McCallum and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

No service by request. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at the Wildwood Fire Hall at 1pm. Refreshments and snacks will be served.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
