Alice Ferec passed away Thursday, January 30, 2003 at the Ste. Rose General Hospital in Ste. Rose, Manitoba, with her family at her side. She was 77 years of age.
Alice leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories, her children, Linda and husband Johnnie Johnson of Indian Head, Saskatchewan, Danny Ferec of Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba; Sharon and husband Glen Tucker of St. Adolphe, Manitoba.
She also leaves to mourn, her grandchildren, Jennifer (Dale) Bitschy and their children Leah and Kyle of Regina, Saskatchewan; Victor (Dana) Johnson and their children Dylan, Brielle and Levi of Morgantown, West Virginia; Micheal (Sara) Johnson and their daughter Emma of Regina, Saskatchewan; Richard Johnson of Regina, Jeff (Heather) Tucker and their daughter, Madison, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Shaun and Steven Tucker of St. Adolphe.
She also leaves to mourn her brother Andre Pinette of Williams Lake, B.C.; her sisters, Sally (Bill) Schultz of Williams Lake; Sylva (Ivan) McGillvary of High River, Alberta; Rita (Dale) Myrah of Chilliwack, B.C.; Eileen (Jules) Carriere of Williams Lake; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.
Prayers were offered on Sunday, February 2, 2003 at 7 p.m. from the Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel.
The funeral service was held Monday, February 3 at 10 a.m. from the Ste. Rose de Lima Roman Catholic Church. Father Michel Nault officiated with the interment following in the Ste. Rose Cemetery.
Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in memory of Alice to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research foundation.
