Alexander Gropp

Alexander Walter Gropp died tragically at Royal Columbian Hospital on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 after a workplace accident.

He is survived by his loving wife Darlene (nee Mackay) and his three beautiful daughters: Joelene, Keshia, and Darby.

They were his pride and joy and he often referred to them as his three little angels.

Alex was born, March 3, 1960 in Vancouver B.C.

He and Darlene made their home at Big Lake for a few years where their first daughter was born. Alex also spent a great deal of time and had many memories created at Rail Lake where he was a longtime seasonal resident since 1985.

He is survived by his parents Gunther and Lydia Gropp, his brothers Bernie (Cathy), Gunther (Janice), Brian (Karin), sister Helen (Jack) Rintoul, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and one great niece.

He is predeceased by his sister Eileen (Glenn) Loor.

He will be remembered by so many dear friends and a choice few of which Alex considered to be his brothers.

A celebration of Alex's life was held on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home in Langley. For all those who wished to attend there was also be a viewing on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. Any donations made in Alex's name to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
