Where to vote in Williams Lake on general voting day

The countdown is on to the provincial election and general voting day, taking place Tuesday, May 9 with the polls open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The countdown is on to the provincial election and general voting day, taking place Tuesday, May 9 with the polls open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters should have received their Where to Vote cards in the mail specifying where they go to vote.

Polling stations will be open at the Cariboo-Chilcotin District Electoral Office at 280E Third Ave. North, Cataline Elementary School at 1175 Blair Street, St. Andrew’s United Church at 1000 Huckvale Place, Elks Hall at 98 First Ave. South, Tourism Discovery Centre at 1660 Broadway Ave. South, Chilcotin Road Elementary School at 709 Lyne Rd., Mountview Elementary School at 1222 Dog Creek Rd., Wildwood Fire Hall at 4253 Wildwood Rd. and the Elizabeth Grouse Gym at 2674 Indian Dr., Sugar Cane.

Advance polls continue Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Elks Hall for Cariboo-Chilcotin voters and the Ramada Inn Convention Centre for Cariboo North at 1118 Lakeview Cres.

Anyone with questions about voting should contact the BC Elections office at 250-305-3812.

To be eligible, voters must be 18 years of age or older on May 9, be a Canadian citizen and a resident of B.C. for the last six months.

Voters must prove their identity and residential address.
