RCMP are searching for a missing 45-year-old man who left Smithers, B.C. on Friday, June 9 to cycle to Saanich.

On Sunday June 18, the Smithers RCMP received a report that Sean David Kuntz was last heard from on Tuesday, June 13.

He was reported missing by his mother to the Saanich RCMP who immediately notified Smithers RCMP.

“Kuntz told his mother that he would be riding his bicycle from Smithers to Saanich to meet her,” Cpl. Madonna Saunderson said. “He left Smithers on Friday, June 9 and he had last texted his mother on Tuesday, June 13 and told her he was in between Quesnel and Williams Lake. It is believed that Kuntz has been sleeping on the side of the highway.”

He is described as Caucasian, five feet 11 inches, well-built, with dark eyes, dark hair and missing half of his thumb.

Police, family and friends are very concerned for Kuntz well-being and ask that if you see him to please call the RCMP.
