Accused in Tsi Del Del death makes video appearance in Williams Lake Provincial Court

The 23 year old accused with second degree murder in connection to a shooting death at Tsi Del Del (Redstone) First Nation on Oct. 19, 2018 appeared by video in Williams Lake Provincial Court Wednesday.

Kyle Tyler Gilpin remains in custody and faces a charge of second degree murder, one count of obstructing the course of justice and one count of uttering threats of death or bodily harm.

The case was adjourned until Feb. 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. in Williams Lake Provincial Court at the request of defence lawyer Alfred Kaiser who told the court he was still waiting for further disclosure of evidence from the Crown in order to prepare for a preliminary inquiry.

A publication ban on all evidence presented to the court in the case imposed on Nov. 7, 2018 remains in place.
