Crash between motorcycle and logging truck sends one man to hospital

A motorcyclist is being taken to Kamloops for further medical treatment after a crash between a logging truck and a dirt bike on July 8 in Williams Lake.

RCMP said just after midnight on Tuesday, they responded to a motor vehicle incident on Mackenzie and Seventh Avenues.

"The driver of the dirt bike, a 29 year old Williams Lake man, collided with the trailer of the logging truck and sustained serious injuries," Sgt. Rick LeBeuf said.

The dirt bike driver was treated on scene and later taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police said the matter remains under investigation and alcohol is not considered a factor at this time.
