Regional district budget meetings begin Feb. 25

The Cariboo Regional District will be hosting three meetings next week as part of the 2014 budget consultation process.

It is extremely important for residents to attend their sub-regional budget consultation meeting and have the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions to the CRD’s board of directors about the proposed budget and business plans before they receive final adoption on March 28.

The Williams Lake meeting will take place on Saturday, March 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. with the presentation beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the Cariboo Regional District board room at 180 D North Third Ave., Williams Lake.

The meetings are designed to explain the CRD’s budgets for the services that it provides to regional district residents. Traditional town hall meetings are now held at the beginning of the budgeting process in September and October.

Once all three meetings have taken place, the presentation will be posted on the CRD website at cariboord.bc.ca as well as the budget consultation survey. If you cannot attend your local session, please feel free to view the information online, and fill out a survey online or return it to your local CRD office by March 4. Further information is also available by calling 250-392-3351 or toll free at 1-800-665-1636.
