Vehicle collides with horse

A single-vehicle collision with a horse on Likely Road resulted in the death of the animal.

The collision occurred March 2 at 6:40 p.m. in the 4000 block of Likely Road.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured although his truck sustained “significant damage,” according to RCMP.

It appears the horse had been laying in the roadway prior to the collision and the driver was unable to avoid hitting the animal. No charges are being considered.
