Ten candidates are vying for a spot on Williams Lake City Council, which will be determined on Saturday, Oct. 20 when Williams Lake residents vote in the upcoming municipal election.

Ten candidates are vying for one of six seats available on Williams Lake City Council.

Candidates range from experienced councillors seeking reelection to new faces looking to make their mark in city politics.

The following are the city council candidates for this year’s 2018 municipal election, in alphabetical order, and their responses to seven questions issued by the Tribune.

Topics range from air quality, the economy and the city’s crime rate, to how candidates tackle the housing and rental shortage:

Advanced voting is now complete.

General voting day is on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Marie Sharpe Elementary School from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
