Excitement is building for the inaugural Ride Your Ride Women’s Bikefest, scheduled to take place from May 10 to 12.

With 48 registered participants and over a dozen volunteers, this event promises to be both fun and empowering for women of all levels, providing opportunities to grow community and learn new mountain biking skills, according to organizers.

On Saturday, May 11, the festival will be based out of the Ross Road parking lot on Fox Mountain.

As the event is expected to attract a larger number of riders than usual, the public should anticipate limited parking space at Ross Road for the day. However, organizers have taken steps to ensure there is still ample room for the public to park and access the trails.

This marks the first year for the Ride Your Ride Women’s Bikefest, and organizers said they want to express their gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support. The event will include opportunities for women of all riding abilities, from beginner to advanced, to improve their mountain bike skills and built community around the sport. Within days of spots becoming available, the event sold out and the waitlist filled up.
