UPDATE: 100 Mile House RCMP detachment reopens after flooding

UPDATE: The 100 Mile House RCMP detachment has reopened Friday morning.

On Thursday, April 11 RCMP announced their office in 100 Mile House was temporarily closed due to flooding. Sgt. Brian Lamb said that the detachment will be open on Friday, April 12 as normal.

ORIGINAL STORY: The 100 Mile House RCMP detachment building has been closed due to a flooding issue.

Sgt. Brian Lamb announced via a press release Thursday that the department is currently dealing with sewer/flooding issues that have necessitated the closure of their office. Lamb said the detachment will be closed for at least the remainder of the day until these issues are resolved.

“Police response is not affected and members are continuing with regular duties,” Lamb said. “The detachment’s main phone line of 250-395-2456 will be answered as will calls to 911.”

Lamb added that the RCMP will send out another press release when the detachment re-opens.
