Bob Piderman goes to vote first thing Tuesday morning at the Elks Hall polling station in Williams Lake as general voting day gets underway across B.C.

Polling stations are open across the province today as voting gets underway for the provincial election.

Each station will remain open until 8 p.m. tonight.

Voters are encouraged to bring their Where to Vote cards and must be able to prove their identity and residential address.

We encourage our readers to follow our live election coverage on our website as all the results begin to be reported after the polls close.

Additionally we will be keeping in close contact with all of our candidates here in the Cariboo North and Cariboo-Chilcotin ridings and reporting their thoughts on the outcomes as well.

If you believe the pollsters, it is expected to be a tight election.
