21-year-old in custody following stabbing downtown

A 20-year-old man was sent to hospital with a stab wound to his back following an altercation downtown Tuesday afternoon.

A 20-year-old man was sent to hospital with a stab wound to his back following an altercation downtown Tuesday afternoon.

Williams Lake RCMP Staff Sgt. Del Byron said police were called at 2:20 p.m. to a report of a conflict near Dominos Pizza on Second Ave. where several witnesses saw the incident.

A 21-year-old man was taken into custody, while the victim was treated at hospital and released.

The two are known to each other, said Byron.

The accused was expected to make a court appearance in Williams Lake Provincial Court Wednesday.
