UPDATE: Pat Waldin reports she was overwhelmed by the support she received to pay off her vet bill and extends her deepest gratitude to the community.

Editor:

As a low income senior I surely miss my Lukey of 11 years. He passed away March of 2017 of health complications.

I’ve been putting $50s on our $2,000 bill.

My pet insurance paid about $600.

I’ve got the bill down to $1,030, but my health is not good right now, so I humble myself to ask if any one person or persons could help me pay this off.

I would be so grateful. He was my friend, my buddy and my companion.

He was good for my health and helped me answer the phone and doorbell and many other duties he performed.

He is surely missed.

If you wish to help, you could go to the vet on Broadway (the Williams Lake Veterinary Hospital) and put something directly on the bill under my name, Pat Waldin, (Dog’s name Luke) or you could phone me at 778-412-9203.
