The Studio Theatre production of Ernest Thompson’s On Golden Pond will be on stage March 30 to April 2 and April 6 to April 9.
The film version of this play was made famous in 1981 with stars Jane Fonda, Henry Fonda, and Katharine Hepburn.
The Studio Theatre production directed by Tony Savile stars Brad Lawryk as Norman Thayer Jr.; Sandy Alaric as Ethel Thayer; Carla Friesen-Martin as Chelsea Thayer Wayne; Conlan Sprickerhoff as Billy Ray Jr.; Craig Smith as Bill Ray Sr.; and Shane Tollefson as Charlie Martin.
On Golden Pond is a the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the forty-fourth year.
They are visited by their divorced, middle-aged daughter and her dentist fiancé, who then go off to Europe, leaving his teenage son behind for the summer. The couple finally have the grandson they had hoped for.
