Spring Yard and
Garden Sale
Scout Island Nature Centre will hold its annual Spring Yard and Garden Sale on Saturday, May 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition to outstanding tomato plants with many unique varieties and other house and garden plants, the items for sale include bird houses and a great selection of home, sport, outdoor and garden items.
The yard and garden sale is sponsored by the Williams Lake Field Naturalists as a fundraiser for a student bursary.

Giant Plant Sale
St. Peter’s Anglican Church on Carson Drive is holding a Giant Plant Sale on Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The sale includes bedding plants: tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, herbs, select flowers, perennials and house plants.
Sunday, May 14
Mother’s Day Market
The McLeese Lake Volunteer Fire Department will host a Mother’s Day Market at the McLeese Lake Community Hall sunday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Vendors will have all sorts of items for sale including gift baskets, metal art and other crafts, natural soaps and skincare products, chocolate and homemade pies, natural dog treats, eco-friendly jewellery and more. Local authors will also be there with their books.
The fire department will have its burger barbecue operating and Indian dishes will be availabe from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
